We used research, based on the top jobs being searched for by employers, to come up with this “Top skills for 2016” list.

Listed below are skills, broken down by Australia, the UK, and Canada. And for our Australian comrades, we’ve included a skills breakdown by province. So wherever you are, if you are interested in what skills are in demand for 2016, take a look and start brushing up on your skill-set. There is also a high demand for people with communication skills. This is a great skill to maintain across many industries. The best part, is you can practice without any cost. Just start practicing. Pick up books and read as much as you can, write blog posts or a personal journal, and get out there and talk to people. The more you do these things, the better your communication skills will get. And remember, communication isn’t just about what you say, which is why in person discussions are an important part of practicing. Your body language makes a huge difference in how people “hear” what you have to say.
